Why Viva H20

How effective is our 12step commercial reverse osmosis unit at purifying water?

Many new customers ask the same question. The answer is simply that here at Viva H20 we have made the significant investment in acquiring one of the best American made reverse osmosis water plants in the industry. It’s rated to effectively purify 9,000 gallons per day.

What is effectively purified water? In short, water purified by such a machine will eliminate products such as chlorine, trihalomethanes, pesticides, solvents, pathogens, bacteria, amoebas, and other harmful substances found in water. The muscle of the machine is the R/O membrane. Our machine has four industrial R/O membranes made of polaymide thin film composites that have a rejection rate of 98% and effectively produce a pure clean water under .6 parts per million. Many factors affect the system and process performance such as membrane type, flow control, temperature and pressure of the feed water.

Systems must be well maintained to ensure that membrane fouling does not occur basically ruining the membrane and it’s ability to purify water. Our R/O machine has a built in alarm should the effectiveness of the membranes decrease below our standards of .4 parts per million. Our water plant is on a regular maintenance program where hired licensed technicians physically maintain all vital components and ensure that we produce the cleanest water for consumption.

This is where we start.

After the water is very effectively purified we process the pure water through our secondary mineral conversion system that restores the water to the best alkaline water that we proudly call VivaH20 Alkaline Antioxidant Water. Water with Power!

Here are listed the 12 steps used by our water plant.

Step 1

A/G pre-filtration-removes particulate matter down to 20 microns.

Step 2/3

Filtration-an activated carbon filter that removes chlorine, chloramines, solvents, lead, insecticides, gasses, and other harmful contaminants. Works as a water softener without the use of salt by drawing hardness particles together and crystalizing them. Includes an automatic backwashing system.

Step 4

Micron pre-filter- removes particles, sediment, and algae.

Step 5

R/O pump- high pressure stainless steel pump to boost water pressure to 160 lbs. for maximum membrane efficiency.

Step 6

Reverse osmosis membrane- water is forced through a semi-permeable , .ooo2 micron membrane allowing only pure water molecules to pass.

Step 7

Storage water is stored in FDA approved tanks.

Step 8

Repressurized system- a 20 G.P.M. pressure pump assures constant water supply from storage tanks to post carbon filter and ultra-violet sterilizer.

Step 9

Pressure tank- 33 gallon pressure tank assures a constant flow to the filler and prolongs pump life.

Step 10

Post carbon filtration- water travels through a 4.5″x 20″big blue post carbon filter, polishing it for exceptionally smooth taste.

Step 11

Ultra-violet sterilizer- 25 G.P.M. stainless steel sterilizer eliminates up to 99.9% all bacteria.

Step 12

ozone added to storage tanks to prevent future bacteria growth.
